Drinking At The local Watering Hole

As the weather heats up the scouting continues! When the warm weather turns to "HOT" and I mean hotter than blue blazes it's next to impossible to glass effectivly from the heat waves. That doesn't stop the SWHA Team from staying on top of the action. We're either setting or checking camera's at the local ram watering holes. As you can see above, this ram is coming in for a night cap. I guess the theory of wild sheep being day time creatures is just an urban legend.
FYI you can click on the images for a larger veiw.

  1. Cool pics! How do you like those DLC cameras? Been thinking about getting a few for my whitetail setup in SE CO.

For what it's worth, I've seen sheep come down to water right at dark before, but, never documented that they might come in the black of night. I always thought sheep were pretty much bedded at night but it makes sense for desert sheep I guess to water in the dark, in the coolness of the night. You'd think predators would have that figured out pretty quick.

  2. I really like those DLC's. I have a few other cams but the DLC's seem to be the most reliable. I know of a guy in WI. who has them for sale and he's a lot cheaper that everybody else. Talk to Bernie at http://www.fifieldseednfeed.com/contactus.html
he'll hook you up with the best price.
